Elizabeth Spring's book, "Saturn Returns ~ The Private Papers of A Reluctant Astrologer", has been a huge life changer for me. I absolutely loved everything about this book and plan to reread it after I finish reading another book of Mrs. Spring's.Elizabeth's fictional writing is just as superb as her "technical" writing. In fact, at the end of the fictional writing, I couldn't help but cry as I related that much to the story within which she drew me with her words. As well, reading my sections of the second part of the book filled me with a hope, and even comfort, regarding the planet Saturn.
I was so inspired by Elizabeth's book that I decided to have a reading with her. I am still reeling in awe of it and I cannot wait to work with her again. She is just such a lovely woman and beautiful soul. Along with some of her books (I plan on purchasing all of them), I'm so glad to watch her YouTube videos when I need a reminder or to uplift my soul.

What a treat to read this during my second Saturn return! So glad it was published.
Good. Not great.
The seller was great, delivered the book in excellent condition and on time. However the book itself was not at all what I was expecting. The author goes on and on about her life and I was hoping for more helpful advice. Ended up looking my saturn return info up on the internet. It's not ideal, but I can't find an easy to understand book that reviews the saturn return.
Excellent book on Saturn Returns. More of a story than I expected - but very much enjoy it.
An excellent book. Begins by telling a story of a person's Saturn return, then goes into an explanation of what it means. Very well written and thought provoking!
What started out as a well-written "fictional' story ended abruptly in the last chapter or two of the "first half" of the book. It was like two different people were writing the first half of the book. It wasn't how it ended but how the story was told, like it was missing major parts. Oh well.
The second "half" of the book is such very basic info on Saturn returns. This book is NOT for experienced astrologers!
Elizabeth Spring is not your everyday astrologer. For those of us loving astrology and attempting to understand more than the everyday horoscope, Elizabeth takes us on a journey of the returns of Saturn through the character of Isabelle. There are many life changes and Saturn Returns make these apparent around the ages of 29, 59, and 88 (if we are so lucky). The story of Isabelle as she goes through these life changes is warm and filled with magnificent images of the past and present she is living. Isabelle becomes very real to us as she reveals her true feelings about her life. She describes being an astrologer who wonders about her abilities to know and use these skills to figure out her life. The story goes way beyond what you would expect from your ordinary astrologer. Elizabeth Spring is extraordinary in her knowledge and her story-telling. You may not be able to put the book down 'til the last page!
I also recommend her book NORTH NODE ASTROLOGY Rediscovering Your Life Direction and Soul Purpose... You will get a glimpse of where you come from and what direction you should be headed towards. Remarkable information and fabulous writing.
There are stories to be told based on accurate information. You must read these books on your own - I hesitate to give you the stories as they belong to all of us...from Elizabeth to each and every one of us!
